Ancient shell
When dinosaurs still walked on this planet, the Earth was also inhabited by gigantic shellfish called ammonite. Eventually they died out but their shell remained and over time turned into stones. These spiral fossils retain memories of gigantic creatures that extinct 300 thousands years ago.
The name for these mysterious fossils came from ancient Egyptians. They believed in the god of the Sun called Ammon and they pictured him as shinning ram. The shells resembled the horns of the ram and that is how they came up with the name.
