Wholesome ammonite
This ammonite was found under the earth, excavated and carefully cleaned in order to preserve the original patterns on the shell. It is precious because it is so ancient yet was able to maintain its original forms. It is still a mystery what minerals have formed over the centuries in its inner chambers. It could be yellow simbircite, dark marl or others.
It is generally believed that ammonites came to existence before dinosaurs. However, there was a period of time when pangolins and shellfish co-existed together. Sculpture of wrought dinosaur holding ammonite on its back is dedicated to this very historical period.
